TableTop Therapies was founded by Eduardo Gloria and Christopher Yanez. We share a passion for games as well as giving back to our communities. We both participated in the Upward Bound program and worked for Upward Bound while in college. We also played tabletop games together for over a decade.
We are dedicated to giving back to students in the communities we grew up in. After life-long experiences in tabletop gaming, we are creating an organization to combine these skills and interests and put them to use in a way that falls in line with our values and addresses key issues that plague the environments we call home.
Eduardo Gloria grew up in Pomona and studied political science at Cal Poly Pomona, and volunteers through the Prison Education Project to teach a class on the importance of hobbies. Combining his knowledge and passion for political activism and board games, he found the perfect project in role-play therapy through role-playing games.
Christopher Yanez grew up in Montclair and studied psychology at Cal Poly Pomona. He recently earned a Master’s in School Based Family Counseling (SBFC). SBFC is a dual master program that trains you to be a school counselor and a marriage and family therapist.
